Someone's Sitting There at the Edinburgh Fringe

Rachel Fletcher-Hudson in Someone’s Sitting There

Someone’s Sitting There, a brand new short-form comedy play written by Junior Productions’ Joe Reaney and Will Noble, has been performed for the first time at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe.

Earlier this year, it was chosen from over 800 submissions to be part of The Big Bite-Size Breakfast Show, which showcases short comedy plays at the Pleasance One venue throughout August.

The Fringe showcase was directed by David Frias-Robles (Inside No. 9 - Stage/Fright) and starred Rachel Fletcher-Hudson, Tom Hartwell, Rosie Edwards, Kat Johns Burke and Thomas Willshire.

A full-length recording of the play made during its Edinburgh run is now available to watch on the Junior Productions website.

‘Coworking’ came out top from a final shortlist of five scripts. Previous shortlisted writers include Joe Barnes (Starstruck), Henry Perryment (Peacock) and Caroline Mabey (Rye Lane).

This year’s contest was judged by BAFTA-nominated director Ben Mallaby, PBJ literary agent Henry Holmes and Rough Cut TV producer Inez Gordon.

Coworking is now in development with Restless Native.
